Had a fruitful day studying. Alvin joined me in e evening. Spent time bonding w each other. lol
My tuition kid's mom called. She was so excited.. Raymond scored 89% for his Maths mid year! Praise God!! I remember when I took him for tuition last year, he had sooo many things he didn't understand. In a way, he reminded me of when I was a boy. Playful, short atention span, gave a hard time 2 my tuition teacherS. lol Wanted 2 make an impact in his life, so I took on e job. I was very disppointed when he failed in his final exams last year & wanted 2 give up as I had put in sooo much effort. His parents didn't allow him 2 come 2 church, & I didn't know where 2 hide my face as I was his charge. :( But thank GOD 4 His mercies! He renewed my vision! Now he's doing exceptionally well in school, he's coming 2 church, & his mom came 4 service 4 e 1st time! HALLELUJAH! GOD indeed rewards those who r faithful! :D
GOD never takes away a vision which He implants in us, like in Mtt 25 when Jesus taught on e parable of e faithful servant, GOD took away e talent of e unfaithful servant! Y coz GOD gave him a vision, a duty, but he did not follow through w it, & Y wasn't he able 2 follow through?? It says in verse 24-25 that he knew e master was a hard when, & therefore he was afraid. Now what could he b afraid? Failure! He was afraid that he would lose that 1 talent instead of multiplying it. So he hide his talent! As a result, GOD called him unfaithful & took away his lot!
What about e 1st servant? What caused him 2 deserve 5 talents & what allowed him 2 earn 5 more?!?! How does GOD measure a person's faithfullness??? I can imagine e life of e 1st servant, some1 hardworking & talented, but it's not only that which gave him e right 2 5 talents & MORE. It was his FAITHFULLNESS!!! What does it mean 2 be faithful? Faithfullness means not giving up even when u fail e first time, faithfullness means keep trying, trying, trying till u get e right formular. Many times ppl give up on their vision bcoz of 1 thing. FAILURE! They r afraid of losing e relationship, losing their money, losing wat ppl think of them. As a result, they fall short of success. When GOD gives a vision, HE never ever once said in e bible: "If it doesn't work out, change e vision." FAR BE FROM IT! Instead GOD gives e person rest, then HE rekindles e vision within him! So if a method doesn't work, CHANGE E METHOD! Like Moses when e ppl rebelled against him, like Joseph when his world seemed 2 be falling apart, like David when he was being chased by his enemies. They were sad, but GOD always rekindled their vision. GREAT MEN of GOD r GREAT MEN OF FOCUS! I'm so sad when I see so many, including myself, lose e fire & vision GOD has put into our hearts. Maybe that's Y I'm so stuborn & harsh regarding some things now: I don't wanna be steered away from my vision again. lol So I'm sorry if I offend some ppl. :p
